Abstract
The purpose of this research was to compare the effects of endurance, strength, endurance+strength and strength+endurance exercises on some factors of physical fitness, including aerobic capacity, explosive power of lower body muscles, agility and muscular endurance of students of Khatam-al-Anbiya Air Defense University (pbuh). . 60 students voluntarily participated in this research and were randomly divided into 5 groups of 12 people: endurance training, strength training, strength + endurance training, endurance + strength training and the control group. One-way analysis of variance was used to compare the differences between groups, and Tukey's post hoc test was used to compare two groups. The findings of the present study showed that there was a significant difference in the aerobic power of the endurance group compared to the strength, strength+endurance and control groups (P ≤ 0.05). There was a significant difference in the explosive power of the lower body muscles between the strength groups in comparison. It was observed with endurance, endurance + strength and control groups (P ≤ 0.05). However, no significant difference was observed in agility scores between research groups (P > 0.05). The findings of muscular endurance showed that there was a significant difference in the endurance group compared to the control group, and also a significant difference was observed between the endurance + strength group and the control group. Therefore, it can be concluded that in parallel exercises, the exercise that is performed first can create its own physiological adaptations and the second exercise can strengthen the adaptations resulting from the first exercise. Therefore, in strength+endurance exercises; Endurance training enhances or stabilizes the adaptations resulting from strength training and vice versa.
