In recent years, human life has been influenced by modern communications, as the development of the use of cyberspace has led businesses to welcome virtual social networks. The purpose of this qualitative research was to develop a model for the development of virtual sports clubs in the country. According to the Research Onion, the present study was Interpretive, Inductive, Data-based, Mono Method, and Cross-sectional, and the research data were collected using interviews. The data collection tool was an in-depth, semi-structured interview. The statistical population of the study was university professors of sports management, information and communication technology, and business management, startup developers, and managers and coaches of virtual sports clubs. After conducting 11 interviews using the theoretical sampling method, the codes reached theoretical saturation. Data analysis was performed using a systematic data-based approach. From the total number of interviews conducted with the samples under study, 267 open codes were obtained, which were categorized into 50 core codes and 6 selective codes of the main phenomenon (7 subcategories), causal conditions (7 subcategories), background conditions (5 subcategories), intervening conditions (9 subcategories), strategies (14 subcategories), and consequences (8 subcategories). According to the results, the development of virtual sports clubs can lead to the development of physical and mental health, the development of home and family sports, learning opportunities, the formation of relationships, the development of the sports economy, job creation, the reduction of financial costs, and the reduction of time-related costs, which leads to important achievements for business owners and customers.
