مرور نظام مند و انتقادی مطالعات حوزه برابری و عدالت جنسیتی در ورزش

This study aims to systematically and critically review and examine research in the field of gender equality and equity in sport. The data required for this study were collected through a library method. To extract relevant articles, while limiting the search to the words equity, gender equality, and women's sports, the databases of the Scientific Information Database (SID) of the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), the database of Noor Specialized Magazines (Noormags), and the Information Science and Technology National Journals Database (Magiran) were used on domestic sites, and articles published in journals with Scopus and Web of Science indexes were used on foreign sites. The research period was from the beginning of 1378 (1999) to the end of 1403 (2024). A total of 520 foreign articles and 1100 domestic articles were identified, and after screening and reaching the most relevant studies, 55 studies were selected and examined. The obtained results showed the breadth of the articles and the wide variety of topics, such that each of them focuses on different aspects of gender equity, and their concerns about this issue are influenced by different theoretical approaches, areas of specialized knowledge, and research methodologies. Of the total 55 articles reviewed, respectively 5 were on understanding the concept, 5 on influencing factors, 6 on development programs and government approvals, 9 on mass media, 3 on education, 5 on urban management, 7 on legal and juridical issues, 12 on employment and sports governance, and finally 3 on the consequences of (in)equality and gender equity. Studies indicate that although international research continues to demonstrate greater diversity and breadth than domestic scholarship in terms of methodological approaches, theoretical perspectives, and study populations, recent years have witnessed a remarkable growth in research on gender equality and equity in sport within Iran.
